Y and C retractors 

Use the narrow ‘Y’ retractor end to pull the cheeks away from the buccal segments. Use the ‘C’ shaped end to keep the cheeks away from the anterior segments, providing excellent visibility for intra-oral photography.

Sterilisation Instructions

Retractors

Retractor surfaces can be cleaned with soapy water then either autoclave or place in cold sterilisation.

Although cold sterilisation for plastic retractors will prolong the life.

Autoclave pouches are recommended to keep the mirrors sterile until needed.

Autoclave recommended settings:

121°C (249.8°F) for 20+ minutes or

134°C (273.2°F) for 10+ minutes
